Doctor of Philosophy


Both the Doctor of Business Administration and PhD have as a general aim of provision of an academically rigorous education designed to develop skills, expertise, knowledge, and vision to enable students, whatever their chosen route, to be critical, analytical, and creative. The program aims to provide opportunities for self-development in relation to career enhancement and as life-long learners.
This program intends to allow the individual student to develop their potential through a carefully selected curriculum of study, which includes elements of a variety of methods of study orientated around both the academic and vocational axis.


  • Develop a critical approach to the use of contemporary sources as means of exploring complex concepts, ideas and issues of relevance and value to the chosen area of study.
  • Develop the power of critical inquiry, logical thought, creative imagination and independent judgment.
  • Provide a forum of study that allows each learner to build on his or her past academic and vocational experience in relevant and meaningful fashion.
  • Expose the learner to a range of possibilities, applicable to work situations as appropriate.
  • Recognize the variety of sources of learning and means for assessing achievement.

Pre Education

The university requires evidence of an earned Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or Administration. Other disciplines may be acceptable and shall be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Further, the applicant must possess an earned Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field with at least 30 graduate-level semester credits. Applicants with a Master’s Degree, but not in Business Administration, Management, or related field, must take prerequisite courses. All degrees must be earned at an appropriately accredited institution or foreign equivalent.

  • The university requires evidence of an earned Bachelor’s Degree
  • Should hold a Master’s Degree from a recognized institution (Any area)

Professional Experience

  • The university recommends a minimum of 5 years of full-time professional work experience. Submit a resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV).
